Chris didn’t start with a platform. He started with prayer.

Through Jesus Disciple, he learned how to intentionally pray for the lost—and he took it seriously. He began calling out his family members by name before the Lord: his mom, his brother, his sister, his aunt, his grandma. Not vaguely. Specifically. Consistently. One by one, something began to shift. Hearts softened. Conversations opened. Family members who once stood at a distance started coming to church with him and turning toward God.

For Chris, Jesus Disciple became his study guide—like learning a subject in school. It walked him step by step through what it means to follow Jesus. It taught him how to pray, how to grow, how to live with intention. And in the process, it shaped him into a leader. The same tool that discipled him is now the one he uses to disciple others.

Today, Chris leads a Jesus Disciple group of his own. He speaks openly about the power of brotherhood—about the strength that comes from walking with other men who are serious about their faith. He’s also honest about the sacrifice. Leading takes time. It takes effort. It requires choosing purpose over comfort and refusing to live selfishly. But he has seen firsthand what happens when someone steps up.

“God isn’t looking for perfect,” Chris says. “He’s looking for progress.” And his story proves it. When one person learns to pray boldly, grow intentionally, and lead sacrificially, disciples begin making disciples—and families begin changing.
