From Insecurity to Impact

Sophia B.’s journey began quietly—with fear, insecurity, and a deep struggle to speak in front of people. The thought of public speaking intimidated her. Confidence felt out of reach. But in the middle of that tension, God invited her to “walk in the light.” It was a gentle, personal moment with the Lord—an invitation not just to step forward, but to step into freedom.

Through Jesus Disciple, Sophia began to grow in ways she never expected. What once paralyzed her slowly lost its grip. Fear gave way to peace. Insecurity was replaced with identity. JD didn’t just teach her how to follow Jesus—it revealed His love for her and the gifts He had already placed inside her. As she leaned in, she found the courage to publicly share her testimony in Beyond, looking people in the eye with a confidence she once thought was impossible.

But her growth didn’t stop there.

Today, Sophia leads a Jesus Disciple group of her own and is guiding girls through Jesus Disciple. The very thing that once intimidated her—leading and speaking—is now the space where she thrives. She loves the beauty of community: pouring into other young women while continuing to grow herself. She feels equipped. Ready. Honored to serve.

God met her gently where she was, but He didn’t leave her there. He led her beyond fear, beyond comfort, into a boldness she never knew was possible. This is what happens when someone says yes—and walks in the light.
