It started with a simple yes.
When Brandon H., a high school student with a growing hunger for God, said yes to leading Jesus Disciple (JD) on his campus, he had no idea what would follow. What began as a small group with a plan for meetings and a daily Bible reading rhythm quickly grew into something far greater. Worship filled spaces. Prayer became bold. Students who had never opened a Bible before were suddenly hungry for the Word. And on that campus, faith was no longer quiet.
Brandon shares that in those early days, Jesus Disciple gave him structure—how to plan meetings, how to guide daily reading, how to lead with intentionality. But as the group grew, so did his confidence. Soon, they were incorporating worship, extended prayer, and deeper teaching. The fruit? Ten students baptized. Many more publicly declaring their faith in Jesus Christ. Teammates, peers, and even entire families began experiencing transformation.
For Rocco S., Bradon’s co-leader impacted by JD, the story is even more personal. He is clear: if Brandon had not said yes to God and led JD at their high school, he would not know the Lord today. Because of one student’s obedience, Rocco not only found Christ, but now his entire family is serving God. What began as a campus Bible study became generational transformation.
Rocco describes watching God move not only through baptisms and testimonies, but through discipleship—students cutting off sin, standing firm under pressure, showing compassion to new believers, and refusing to shrink back in the face of confrontation or persecution. Classmates they never expected to see walking with God are now set free and boldly serving Him—part of the army of believers God is raising up in their school.
This is the ripple effect of one obedient yes. Worship ignites. Students rise. Families change. And disciples begin making disciples.
